Résumé du livre

Laverda is considered a cult marque, an achievement more impressive given that throughout its history the company remained a modest family enterprise. Its creations were spectacular, even avant-garde. Like the 750 SFC, endurance champion in the 1970s, the 1000 V6, the first race bike equipped with such an engine configuration, or the 1000 triple, the first really large-capacity bike on the market and at the time the fastest and most powerful serial production motorcycle in the world. Nevertheless, books on the subject are comparatively rare. Fruit of more than two years of research, this richly illustrated work recalls the history of the marque through its legendary models : the 75, 100, 750, 1000, 1000-V6 and 500 cc. Moreover, it exclusively presents a 3d study of an engine derived from the famous Laverda triple, which could in time be destined for the new owners of the marque. In an appendix, potential buyers as well as long-time owners will find purchasing recommendations, addresses, and relevant websites.
